Take the Goggles Off
Take the Goggles Off was a short film I created for the 2023 IES Study Abroad Film Festival based on my experience studying in Barcelona Spain.
I was largely inspired by a quote I heard from another student: "If we could remove the goggles of habit, we would be overwhelmed with ecstasy." This is what my film urges people to do, take those goggles off! It encourages people to appreciate life in its entirety. Whether you are skiing in Andorra, touring the Roman Collosium, or simply watching the sunlight flicker off a dewdrop on a leaf, life is a miraculous thing.
I am proud to say that my film was the winner of both the IES Study Abroad Film Festival Award, and the GoAbroad Innovative Student Video Award.
Green Therapy: The Bond Between Our Minds and Nature
Is there a link between the mental health crisis and the climate crisis?
I made this documentary for a long-form video journalism class in my final semester of college. It explores the relationship between the natural world and mental wellness.
Throughout the process of producing this mini-documentary, I found that not only does this link exist, but it may be even more powerful than we give it credit for.
Just Go...
This was a short 60-second PSA assignment for a film class in my sophomore year of college. We had the freedom to choose what topic to create a message for, and I chose to highlight the peace and solace of nature
Nature's Medicine
My upbringing taught me to see the beauty in the natural world and the importance of preserving it. As I got older, I saw how time in natural settings affected my mental health. I began to wonder if this was just me, or if there was a more scientific measurable effect that nature had on humans.
As it turns out, there is! This project explores that relationship and the importance of protecting our planet. From it, I hope to share the importance of this relationship with others and empower them to protect it.

Art Paul Mini Doc
This was a collaborative project created for a film class during my sophomore year of college. Art Paul is an eccentric artist, street performer, and beloved local celebrity in Madison. Me and my two partners wanted to tell his story.
